Reconnections Speech, Swallowing, and Neurorehabilitation, PLLC is a specialized adult speech therapy practice providing both telehealth and mobile outpatient services to individuals in North Carolina.

We specialize in communication, cognitive, swallowing, and voice disorders in adults. Reconnections is in-network with traditional Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, Aetna, and Health Team Advantage, and accepts private pay clients.

About Mary Beth Bardin, MS, CCC-SLP

Mary Beth Bardin, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist licensed in the state of North Carolina. She has a Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mary Beth specializes in stroke rehabilitation, aphasia, concussion, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and multiple sclerosis. She also has expertise in voice and swallowing disorders, head and neck cancer, autism, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and teaching English as a second language.

Mary Beth believes in using an integrative, research-based and person-centered approach to help her clients live meaningful, connected lives.

As the care partner of someone living with multiple sclerosis, Mary Beth has personal experience learning to grow and evolve through the uncertainty that comes with a neurological condition. One of her core values is resilience, and she strives to partner with her patients to build this in their own lives.

Mary Beth is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), certified SPEAK OUT!® Provider, certified LSVT-LOUD clinician, and is certified through LoveYourBrain to teach yoga and mindfulness to the brain injury community. She is also a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance and is NEDA-proficient.
