Communicate. Connect.

Have you or your loved one had changes in your communication, thinking, voice, or swallowing? These changes can affect someone’s relationships, confidence, and sense of identity. Speech therapy can help. At Reconnections Speech, Swallowing, and Neurorehabilitation, we can help you get back to doing the things you love, from the comfort of your own home.

Our services

Stroke or Brain Injury

A stroke or brain injury can cause brain changes that affect communication, cognitive functioning, and swallowing. At Reconnections we partner with our clients and their families to create individualized treatment plans to target personal goals and improve function.

Aphasia

Aphasia is a language disorder that affects communication, not intelligence. It can affect someone’s ability to speak, comprehend, read, or write. At Reconnections we use the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) to help people with aphasia communicate in settings that matter to them.

Voice

Reconnections specializes in treating voice disorders, including muscle tension dysphonia, vocal nodules, polyps, vocal cord bowing, vocal cord paralysis, functional voice disorders, and chronic cough. We also provide training in modifying voice and communication for self-expression.

Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s can impact the loudness and clarity of your speech. It can also affect cognition, wordfinding, and swallowing. We specialize in using evidence-based treatments for Parkinson’s, including LSVT LOUD® and SPEAK OUT!® Therapy.

Dementia

Changes in memory and thinking can be frustrating and stressful. Speech therapy can help families learn how to support their loved one’s communication and independence for as long as possible.

…and more

We also have expertise with concussion, stuttering, long COVID, executive function and ADHD, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and functional neurological disorders. Learn more about diagnoses we treat.
